Putting N300 in "router only" mode with a Comcast Arris TG862 Modem/Router

I want to connect a Netgear N300 (model C3000) to a Comcast Arris TG862 router/modem/gateway that has very limited wifi coverage.

I need to put the Comcast modem/router in "bridge mode" to off the router/wifi and I have to put the Netgear modem/router in "router only" mode.

How specifically do I do the latter in the Netgear control panel?  And which ethernet connection do I use from the Comcast modem and which one does it go into in the Netgear router?

Thanks.

I did some more research on the N300 unfortunately it cant be used as just a router/AP so the only way you could use the wireless off this modem is to make it modem for your comcast connection. Sorry that didn't work.

    Hello Dworsky

You would need to connect Port 1 from the comcast modem to Port 1 on the N300. And the way to put the N300 into router only is Login to your N300 with www.routerlogin.net from here you will want to click on the advanced tab then click on advanced setup then device mode from here you can change it to just be a router.

        Darren...

Could you please be more specific of exactly where in the advanced settings I turn off the modem functions?  (Also, do I have to do anything with DHCP settings or anything else?

        thanks,
