Windows 10 (A6100 A6200 A6210) Installation Heads Up
As a heads up, DO NOT install Netgear's driver package for your A6xxx device on Windows 10. It permanently removes Windows 10’s ability to access the WiFi Connections list.
Instead, use the default driver that comes with Windows 10, of which will freeze when you try to connect to networks until you complete the installation of Intel’s new Chipset Drivers here:
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/20775/Intel-Chipset-Device-Software-INF-Update-Utility-
If that still doesn’t work for you, try the following:
Go to Network List, select the network you are trying to connect to, hit “Connect”, you should see “enter password” box and also a message about using WPS to connect, then instead of entering the password go hit the WPS button on your router.
Your adapter should connect and function completely now.
For problems with the windows 10 included driver with the a6210 (e.g. no 5ghz networks visible) just use the latest driver from mediatek (5.1.21.0).
It is the newer version of the driver that came with windows 10 and with it i can join my 5ghz wlan, which wasnt able with the old one!
The chip in the A6210 is a Mediatek MT7612U.

Good morning Community,
Thank you for all of your contributions and posts. After working with a few customers and conducting in-house testing there appears to be various scenarios in which this condition can happen across the three different products. Due to the complexity of this issue, we have found that one set of step may resolve the issue for one product but may not work for the other models. This includes installing the newest firmware following very specific steps to resolve this issue.
We are actively working on beta firmware in addition to finalizing documentation that will assist customers resolve this issue depending on their device and upgrade path to Windows 10. Once the beta firmware and documentation has been finalized and posted, I will provide another update with the location of the beta firmware instructions.
For any users that would like to continue to troubleshoot this issue with NETGEAR support and engineering please feel free to send me a private message with your contact information and we will reach out to your promptly.
We truly appreciate your patience and understanding while we continue to verify and validate the instructions to resolve this issue.
Thank you,
Christine

So I had nothing but trouble with my A6210 when I upgraded to windows 10 from windows 7.
I had the same freezing and then complete inability to see any wifi networks. Even some blue screens.
I finally managed to get Wondows 10 up and running but the A6210 would not do anything...even with the latest fdrivers that everyone had suggested. Until: I decided to uninstall the drivers yet again and try one last reinstall (good thing I had another computer available to get the drivers! Anyway once I installed as a standalone driver (without the genie) things began to work.
Just wanted to mention this to anyone trying to get their adapter to work.
Hope it may help someone.

Not sure if this problem is just me.
If I update using the updated .32 drivers for the a6210, my network works fine, even on 5ghz connection, to my knowledge at least.
However if i restart my PC or if my PC wakes from sleep i'm forced to REINSTALL the drivers (Standalone) to make it work again.
EVERY TIME.
AMD Based system
I've even FRESHLY installed windows 10, does NOT fix- zmaniaczGuide
After a few days of stability on the new drivers, I'm back to the dropped packets and 3000+ms packets to my router. Getting new wires run on Wednesday, so not going to worry about it anymore. Good luck to the rest of you.
Since Netgear's responded on the issue, I'm giving them some more time.

Netgear has given me acces to a new Beta Driver. I will test and get back to everyone. I spent $70 on this adapter, I was about to run to Microcenter this weekend, but I just can't bring mysellf to throw away $70
I too have installed the Beta Driver (Ver.1.0.0.33) both clean installs with all the associated PC reboots of the Genie version and the standalone version. Neither of these have fixed the connection cycling. I've sent screen shots of the USB 3.0 version, the Netgear driver version, and a debug log recording the cycling connect/disconnect. Hopefully all this information is leading them somewhere positive. It's sad and weird that we (the consumers) have to be Netgears beta testers on a product that has been out for quite a while.
Has anyone tried to update their BIOS (mainly talking to AMD users)? I've got a thumb drive on it's way home, apparently that's the only way to update BIOS other than burning a CD, I'll try to update mine and see if that fixes any of the issues.
Just wanted to confirm that I still get intermittent packetloss with the 5.1.22.0 Netgear drivers (the official ones):

i see that netgear have updated their drivers for the A6210. i am considering buying this adapter. does anyone know if the new drivers ( v 1.0.0.32) has fixed the issues with this adapter and win10?
Thanks.
- Maz97 it depends on your processor type, I know Intel owners were having problems, but there was a Alton on either the first or second page for them. AMD users were not fixed by the 1.0.0.32 update.
It would do you justice to read the entire thread, I can't believe we are already to page 13.
My personal short answer would be find another company, I'd your wanting the speed(and this one had it) make sure to look for an adapter with the same speed ratings. KUDOS for doing homework before buying though. - ChristineTAdministrator

Simply uninstalling and reinstalling the driver for the A6200 doesn't work. If this was the solution so many people wouldn't be complaining.
This type of solution (similar to just reboot your computer) from support is a reason I'm going to avoid Netgear for my next purchase.

On what planet have you guys fixed the issue(s)?
That entire page is worthless and does nothing to fix the issues.
Next you'll be telling me to try "turning it off and on again" ...
Frankly I am looking for my receipt because I want my money back after this and I will never buy another one of your products again.
In fact I shall go out of my way to warn and disuade everyone and anyone I can from buying your products as well.
Hi, guys.
For what it's worth, I just purchased an Edimax EW-7822UAC adapter to replace my A6200, as I cannot wait for drivers to get the A6200 working any longer, to say nothing about the flawed information regarding potential fixes.
The Edimax is plug 'n play in Windows 10 (uses Win 10's built-in drivers), and works perfectly.
I've been a huge Netgear fan for many years, but in light of the problems that I've had recently (including the R7000 router), combined with Netgear's inability to update/fix them, I'm beginning to have serious reservations going forward.
- Sorry, I should have noted that I connect mine at USB 2.0 speeds, so I can't speak to USB 3.0 connectivity.
That said, I am at AC speeds (limited by USB 2.0) with no disconnects.
