The disc image file is Corrupted
I cannot download the software to get it set up. Getting error code "The disc image file is corrupted"
Frusterating that I cannot find chat help or phone help to resolve this.

What software are you referring to? The EX2700 doesn't require any special software to use.
- How does it know which signal to boost? We have had 5 adults work with set up instructions and cannot get it!
To set it up, you need to connect to the extender's Wi-Fi network. By default, it will be called NETGEAR_EXT. After you connect to it, point your browser to mywifiext.net. This is not a real website; it will connect you to your extender. If this is the first time logging in, you should be taken through the setup process, where you will select the signal to boost.

- Connected my laptop to the net gear and went to www.muwifiext.net. Tried to log in with same credentials used to get to this forum and was rejected. "Username and password do not match" clicked on Username &a Password Help and it brings up security questions that I did not set up
Reset the extender to factory settings by pushing the physical button for about 7 seconds. Then try again.

Sorry, I didn't notice that you tried to use the username and password for this forum. That's not how the extender works. It has its own password. Try the factory reset one more time. Make sure you hold the button in for at least 7 seconds while it is powered on. The instructions say to wait at least a minute after the reset in order for the extender to restart.

You should not need to enter a username or password if you perform the factory reset correctly. It should take you through the setup process where you will create a username and password.
Success! I have a different model, but the same "File is corrupted" message. In Downloads, I unzipped the file, copied the img file to a temporary folder, and selected it from there. It worked! Hope this helps someone.
Also, if you get hung up at the point where you log in to your router, for account user same type in admin, and for the password, type in password.
- I'm trying this again since school starts tomorrow and we don't get wifi on second floor. Tried to login with user name "admin" and password "password". It said username and pasword do not match. When I clicked for help, I was prompted with security questions about my sisters names which I did not create and do not have an older sister.
