NETGEAR AC1900 model R7000 is messing up my PlayStation 5 Bluetooth. Help
Hey there everyone. So about two weeks ago I noticed my audio would drop or stutter from my controller. At first I assumed a poor cable. But then I went on to test 3 different headsets same result. I took my ps5 to another residence and had no issues. The issues only exist when I turn my router on.
I have a mic plugged into my wireless controller and somehow the signals cause the audio to distort. I have no idea how it all the sudden started doing this after a year.
Any suggestions? Someone said turn off 2.4 GZ which I may try but I shouldn’t have to try it. I think my product is defective potentially and needs replacement. I already returned two of these before and this one is technically still under warranty.
How do I contact netgear?

Ah no, would not be a defective router, rather your wireless devices maybe to close to the router and operating on or near same 2.4Ghz frequencies as the router has thus your devices are picking up wifi radio interferences from the router. This is problematic for devices that use 2.4Ghz frequencies.

To the best of my knowledge I actually turned 2.4 off last night through the web. The problem still persists. Although the 2.4 g was still lit up on the actual box itself.
My PS5 is plugged in through Ethernet. What in the world should I do? My parents have the same router as me and yesterday I went over there and took my PS5 and it was fine.

You can try changing which channels the router is broadcasting on. that might help if its caused by interference.

Can I ask is there specific channels for each band that might work? Like a starting off point.
Also why did this just start happening now a year in. That’s what confuses me

try channels 1-6-11.
There's options to turn off the ssid broadcast that doesn't actually shut off the 2.4ghz band but just disables being able to "see" the 2.4ghz. You might have hit that.

What brand and model head sets did you test?
Are these head sets wired or wireless?
I have a Turtle Beach Elite and Plantronics Rig Pro 500, both wired and don't experience any issues with my Xbox controllers or headsets.
You might try all wired heatsets to the game controller and wire the controller to the game console to test.
I gave up wireless headsets years ago due to some interference problem and having to maintain batteries.

Wired. Always wired. I plug the headset into the controller because I don’t feel like dealing with the amp anymore lol. I have 2 Astro A40 headsets. Used a skull candy one and then a wired Sony.
When my controller is connected to the console(Bluetooth off mode)or when I use my amp I have zero issues.

Also sounds like a bad interference handling with the controller when it's wirelessly(BT) connected to the console. Something you might ask Sony about.
