Qbittorent Update Problems

I used Possin's qbittorrentr6_3.3.0_armel.deb from the community dropbox and ever since then I can not access the web interface. The default password of admin and adminadmin are not working nor was my original password from the old version. I have tried removing and installing again. I have SSH access does anyone know how to disable the password ?

  • Hi yes sorry I am talking about the Qbittorent interface. It shows up but no password will work on it. My ol;d password or the default one. My Readynas works fine and have had no trouble with the OS on it. Only Qbittorrent issues with the dropbox update. I have managed to go back to the preinstalled version however it is so dated now and I can't use it with Firefox as it has bugs which make it useless. I don't want to use Chrome due to privacy concerns.

I tried looking in the qbittorrent.conf using nano  but it had nothing in there, completely empty I have also tried https://github.com/qbittorrent/qBittorrent/wiki/I-forgot-my-UI-lock-password  and this did not help as there was nothing in the config file to edit.

I am thinking you mean the qbittorent admin password, not the ReadyNAS password - correct?

https://github.com/qbittorrent/qBittorrent/wiki/I-forgot-my-UI-lock-password might help.  Though I think qbittorrent.conf will be somewhere in /data/.apps

    Hi shaunob1,

You may want to try OS reinstall. This procedure will reset the admin page password to the default and device ethernet settings. More importantly, it won't do anything to your existing data. Once you're able to login, download the Qbittorent Client here and ensure you will select the appropriate add-on for your ReadyNAS system.

    Hope this helps!

    Kind regards,
