Cyberpower CP1500AVRLCD
The charge % and time remaining match that of the display on the UPS. The ReadyNas will properly shutdown too.

- claykinAspirantReadynas allows you to set the threshold before the NAS shutsdown on low battery. its in percentage 10-90%. Not sure how Netgear specified the AUTO setting, but I suspect they have some calculation that watches time up decay and determines how much time is required to shutdown the NAS. Just a guess. If you are concerned, then select a percentage. I recommend you don't go below 20% as batteries can fall flat fast as they age.
The host name option allows you to have other devices such as a Windows PC monitor the UPS connected to the NAS. This is for people who want to remote monitor the NAS or want to connect a PC and Readynas to a single UPS. - ChrisMc73Aspirant

Do you have to do anything besides enable it in Frontview? I didn't know what to put in that blank box for other hosts...?
In Frontview go to the SYSTEM > POWER menu. Here you can set the threshold for the NAS to shutdown.
These settings will shutdown devices connected to the UPS. Not the UPS itself.
Ok, right now its set to AUTO, what does that mean? How does it automatically work? Should I change it to a certain time instead? What do you recommend?
What is the next thing under that for, the empty box for a host name? - claykinAspirant

I understand your rationale. I disassembled one that stopped functioning to see what was up. The first thing I thought when I saw the guts was this could be a fire hazard! I promptly threw it in trash.
BTW, I have disassembled several APC units. They are typically designed well and nicely manufactured. I've never been a big fan of the company but was hoping things would improve once Schneider bought them. Still waiting... - ChrisMc73AspirantHow do you configure the ReadyNAS software to work with this UPS and my ReadyNAS to gracefully shut it down?

- claykinAspirantLast time I took apart a Cyberpower UPS I found they were poorly constructed. PCB was low quality, many components were very poorly soldered, china electrolytic capacitors, and wiring was routed in such a way that I wonder who the heck assembled it (and questioned how UL approved this product). Its been a few years. Maybe things have changed?
I had been using MGE for a long time and always happy. Unfortunately when Schneider bought APC they sold their single phase business to Eaton who has basically done nothing with the MGE product line. - ChrisMc73Aspirant
ChrisMc73 wrote: Is there anyway to setup CP1500AVRLCD to gracefully shut down a MacPro as well as the NV+? More than one device?
I guess this would be the answer to my question, its actually not the UPS you configure, but the NAS you can configure to send the commands.

- plastic101AspirantSeems to work fine with Ultra 6 Plus.
