Logitech UE Music Library
Hello,
I would like to know if someone could make an app for "Logitech UE Music Library". You can find the apps for legacy ReadyNAS devices here: http://downloads.slimdevices.com/nightly/?ver=10.0
Thanks
:D

- icyvranTutorI have a solution for my own question :D
In order to install the Logitech UE Music Library on a ReadyNAS with OS6 version 6.1.8 you have to:- 1. Install and then uninstall the app "Logitech Media Server" that is available for OS6
2. Access the ReadyNAS via SSH
3. Install via SSH the "UE Music Library: Debian Installer Package " that is available in http://downloads.slimdevices.com/nightly/?ver=10.0
Then you can access the server settings on http://192.168.1.8:3546/
Good luck! :) - mrfusionAspirantBought a UE smart Radio to someone of my family which has a readynas 102 using OS6.
unfortunately as icyvran told there is no direct package for OS6.
icyvran can you detail your installation process because I don't understand why you first install/uninstall LMS?
Is it to ensure to have the dependencies installed?
I guess you installed the package with dpkg -i ?
To Superpoussin: that would be wonderful to do the package for OS6 as it is the only one missing.
I installed the package available on the link on my duo to test the smart radio and it was working great. - smallsingsAspirantI am also really interested in installing the UE Smart library on my Readynas 314.
I was thinking about installing the "UE Music Library: Debian Installer Package" directly, but did not try it till now...
@mrfusion did it work?
Thanks for your help! - markwollGuideFor the OS6 Readynas devices see this thread:
viewtopic.php?f=153&t=73375&hilit=squeeze - smallsingsAspirantThanks markwoll!
But the Thread you mentioned is for the Logitech Music Server, which is just able to operate with the Squeezebox.
In my case, i wanna know more about the UE Smart Library Addon, which is for the new Squeezebox, the UE Smart Radio. - nsneVirtuosoLike the OP, I'm also looking for info on the UE Music Server on ReadyNAS OS 6. Keep in mind that UE Music Library is like LMS but it's not the same. UEML is designed to work with Logitech's new UE Music devices.
Up to now with my ReadyNAS Ultra 4, I was running the UEML and updating it manually using the "Pro" installer from the nightly build page linked above: http://downloads.slimdevices.com/nightl ... p?ver=10.0
Now I've got a 314 running ReadyNAS OS 6, but I'm not sure if I can simply use the Debian installer from that page.
@smallsings, have you had any luck running that installer? My bedroom radio is going to be without access to my music collection if I can't run the UE Music Library on my ReadyNAS. - smallsingsAspirantHey nsne!
not yet...I bought the 314 just a few days ago and still waiting to have it in my hands ;)
But I'm happy not to be alone with that topic ;)
The only thing (without) trying it by ourselves is to ask Superpoussin...but till now i waited if somebody has experience and is writing his/her answer here! - smallsingsAspirantHello,
so i tried to install the "UE Music Library: Debian Installer Package" on my Readynas 314, but the installation process was not working.
is there a solution without having the ssh root stuff? - nsneVirtuosoThat's a bummer. I was growing impatient and was thinking about just giving it a whirl myself.
How exactly does one install the Debian installer package via SSH? - markwollGuide

Did you install the lms_1.0.6_all.deb file?
I think that is a prereq for installing one of the deb files from the logitech repository.
May be wrong, but don't think it would hurt before trying the UE Music Library installer again.
Even though I use the LMS package, the above file seemed to take a while before it installed, on a 516.
