NAS wont load OS on web browser
Hi,
My NAS DUO V2 has been 'off' for probably 6 weeks now. And yesterday I plugged it all back in, connected to router etc. I can access the files, but if I try to log in as Admin, using IP address (via Raidar), then the Readynas 'thinking' icon just spins and spins and spins.
Tried Chrome and IE - as I used to have problems with IE.
But neither will get past this screen.!
I tried to reload OS on the NAS itself, but when I turn it on, with paperclip in the back - the lights all light up, and when I press 'backup', they all go out. I cant then get to light up any of them, and I need HDD2 to reload the OS.
Can anyone advise why this has happened, and how I go about sorting it.?
Cheers,
Chris

- StephenBGuru - Experienced UserThere's a bug in Chrome build 34. If you had tried firefox it would have worked.
Not sure what state you are in now, I hope you can get it to boot ok. - Kojak1AspirantSUPERSTAR 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)
Tried in Safari, and it works.!
I am a little unsure about the 'not being able to change the boot and reinstall OS'.
:? - StephenBGuru - Experienced UserI think the best guide for the boot menu is the hardware manual - for the v2 that's page 16 here: http://www.readynas.com/download/docume ... ept-11.pdf
It is tricky, especially if you have a 2-bay model with no LCD display. - Kojak1AspirantHiya,
I have that manual, and have tried exactly that - but nothing.! It has worked in the past, but as soon as I pressed 'Backup' all the lights go out (except power) and then you cant scroll through.
That said, now I have accessed via Safari, I have updated the NAS with 5.3.10 - clearly it was out of date.
This may have resolved the issue - but I don't need to reinstall OS now anyway.!
Hopefully it will be okay in the future.
Thanks for all your help.
