Netgear RN10200 firmware update communication error
I have an rn10200 its on firmware 6.10.5 hotfix 1 and im trying to update to the latest 6.10.6 but all i get is a communications error when i try and do a manual update.
if i do an automattic update it fays its flashed then reboots or rather says its rebooting then switches off and when powered back on its on the original firmware 6.10.5 hotfix 1
any ideas how i can fix this?

Weird. I didn't see that when I updated my own RN102 a few weeks back.
- Did you extract the img file from the zip?
- Any sign that the OS partition is full?

No the drive is newly formatted and nothing put on at the moment its completely blank

But if the NAS has no data, maybe try doing a factory default from the system->settings menu - which will reformat the disk(s), and reinstall the OS from the flash. Then see if the update works normally.

Yes I unzipped the file to the img extention before trying to upload to the nasIs the NAS able to reach the internet? There should be an indication on the cloud page of the admin UI to tell you this.
