readynas ultra 6 won't boot

I have a ReadyNAS ultra 6 that won;t boot past the "ReadyNAS" logo unless I take the disks out. Then it boots to "no disks." I can get to the boot menu, but only when the drive bays are empty. I read that this may be a failed power supply. Any ideas?

It sounds like the most likely possibility to me.

Though I guess you could run the memory test.

Also, if you have a spare disk you could try doing a factory install with just that disk in place.

If I reset to factory defaults with a spare disk, should I have any trouble reading the original volume?

No.  All the settings are on the current disks (as well as the OS partition that the system boots from).
