Thank you for the replies. So a hot spare disk is not limited to single volume but it is limited to chassis it is in.
Another question:
Are volumes also limited to a single chassis or is it possible to create volumes from disks in different chassis'?
For example, is the following possible?
RN316 with 6 disks, attached EDA500 with 5 disks,
all together used as RAID6 for volume1,
all disks have same size of 4 TB.
