RNRXTRAY1-10000S tray compatiblity

Hello,

I want to know if the tray with this part number RNRXTRAY1-10000S is compatible with my Readynas Duo RND2000 (sparc).

    No. The trays for rackmount devices are not compatible with desktop devices.

    You need the RNDTRAY1

    What happened to your existing drive trays? Was a tray stuck and did it break when you removed it?

    My trays have the well know problem with the round button that get stuck, but that's not very important since i have found a great trick for that on the forum.

    I want to buy an additional tray to perform supplementary backups on another hdd.

    Just wanted to point out that backing up by inserting a new hdd is generally not recommended here. One issue is that SATA connector on the drive is not built for repeated insertion.

    Another issue is that if you pull / reinsert a drive in the raid array, the full system will resync every time. During the period, the system is not redundant.
