Upgrade to duo v2

Hi
Because I want to use certain apps I want to upgrade my duo to a v2 from my v1 . If I buy a new one can I just put my drives
In from the old one.

Will it read data ok etc.

    No. The RAID format is different.

    Anyway the Duo v2 is discontinued as well. You may as well buy a RN102 and transfer your data across your network to the new NAS then use your Duo v1 as a backup NAS.

    If I copy data to another drive say laptop and reformat disks will that work?

    Yes. If you do a factory default the v2 should format the disks.
