[Solved] No add-on packages are currently available
EDIT: Solved via OS re-install from boot menu. After factory resetting the unit, I restored an old config from a firmware version prior to 4.2.16 which caused grief with some of the .conf files.
I've got a ReadyNAS Pro Business Edition that I just factory reset on version 4.2.19. I've installed a number of add-ons manually, but I notice that my "Available" add-ons section always says "No add-on packages are currently available".

Is there something I need to do to make the Pro "see" the official add-ons (like Photos II, Replicate, Remote, etc.)? When I watch yoh-dah's video (using his Pro 6), he gets a whole bunch of add-ons. Why is he so special? Is there an add-on required for this? :P

- WhoCares_MentorThe available add-ons section is filled dynamically by quering a web service. So chances are your NAS either doesn't talk to the interthingy or that the other side of the communication link is down ;)
-Stefan - dbott67GuideHmmm... Prosey talks to the interthingy.

APT-GET also works, as I used it to install nano (although I'm getting the GPG error below on both my Pro and NVX):Prometheus:~# apt-get update

I ran netstat, but I don't know what the service is, so I don't really know what I'm looking for:Prometheus:~# netstat -a -p

BTW: Working for me right now, but who knows how the service is setup, or could that new Great Firewall of Canada being switched on - WhoCares_MentorWhat do you get when you call
https://ip.of.readynas/addon?command=getAvailableAddons
from your browser?

Not Found
The requested URL /addon was not found on this server.
My NVX is still running an older version of RAIDiator (4.2.13). It's next on the list to get upgraded and factory defaulted.
FWIW, ReadyNAS Photos II is working on the Pro, as is my Wordpress blog (thanks to your PHP :) ) and Transmission (thanks to SP). - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredYou need at least 4.2.16 as that's when the new stuff was added. Can you also try:
http://ip.address.of.nas/addon?command=getAvailableAddons&url=http://www.readynas.com/app/get_addon_list?
Edit: it appears the longer URL above is not used by 4.2.19 (perhaps the URL is built into the getAvailableAddons command - can't tell as understandably, this info is encrypted). - dbott67Guide

Still getting Not found. - WhoCares_MentorYour ReadyNAS is broken. Send it over to me, I'll give it a good home for it's last few days ;)
-Stefan - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredYou might want to take a look at /etc/frontview/apache/httpd.conf
MDGM-NAS:~# cat /etc/frontview/apache/httpd.conf | grep addon
LoadModule addonhandler_module /frontview/lib/mod_addonhandler.so
<Location /addon>
SetHandler addonhandler
PerlSwitches -I /etc/frontview/addons/ui
Alias /addons/ /etc/frontview/addons/ui/
<Directory /addons>
Include /etc/frontview/apache/addons/*.conf - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredI would try temporarily commenting out the last line I quoted in my post above and restarting apache. This might tell if an add-on is causing a problem with apache.
You might also want to take a look at /var/log/frontview/error.log
