6.2 update connection lost

Hi,

I have a pro 6 that I have upgraded from 4.2.27 to 6.2
After the upgrade I was able to access the gui but after a reboot I can no longer access. Just receive connection lost.
I have tried to factory reset but again rebooting after first setup i receive connection lost.

any ideas?

  • Firmware v6.2.0 is just meant to be used with ReadyNAS OS 6 models. ReadyNAS Pro 6 is an Intel-based ReadyNAS OS 4 model.

I do not have a ReadyNAS Pro 6, however, if its possible to revert the firmware back to v4.2.27...kindly try to update the firmware to v6.1.9 first then perform a factory reset then update it to v6.2.0.
  • hi. i am aware that you can go atraight to os6 without doing the following correct procedure. i have previous,y run on 6.1.9 but reverted back to 4.2.27.
again I have reverted back to 4.2.27 factory defaulted then used the upgrade as per thread
ReadyNAS OS 6.1.9 | Run on existing x86 (4.2) #notsupported which now uses file R4-R6latest. that takes directly to 6.2 now. again factory defaulted after the update.
went through first run wizard.waited for drives to finish configuring and then rebooted with the same result after the reboot.

Something wierd here. I didnt install any apps just left it go and rebooted. Only way to get it back is to factory default. shares come up when I browse there but no gui.
I will factory again and try turning on ssh.
