Connection lost
So, I'm having an issue maintaining a connection to the storage. I am able to ping the device, I can open the web interface, however whenever I try to go into anything it says connection lost try manually rebooting the device. I've done this many times and it has yet to work. I am not able to write any data to the device but I am able to open the folders and look at the data.
Anyone have any clues or ideas as to what I could try next? This device has data from the past 5 years that I really can't afford to lose.
Thanks
I was able to use the boot menu to reinstall the OS and it worked. I am now able to get into it and everything is showing healthy and proper inside http now.
Thanks all for the advice

Possibly the OS partition is getting full.
First of all, you should update (or create) a backup of the data.
After that, if you have SSH enabled on the NAS you can check for OS fullness. Or you can contact support (ask about per-incident support). A third option is to do a factory reset, rebuild the NAS and restore the data from backup.

It could be that the GUI is completely offline but when you open it, you actually see the cache.
Could you try in clearing the cache of the browser (usually CTRL + R, or CTRL + F5), private browsing mode or with another browser (to avoid the cache issue) and confirm if you actually see that GUI.
Also, is the content of the GUI you see all in capital letters (that would confirm a cache page, in this context).
Finally, I agree, you should have a backup of your data. A RAID array provide redundancy, which doesn't replace an external backup.
It's a bit like the spare wheel in your car, it wouldn't help if the engine breaks down... and you'd still be left alone on the side of the road.

Once it is rebooted into Volume Read Only mode, how do I create the backup? I'm not able to get into it through the webpage and when I try to SSH into it, I get the error message "Connection Refused".

Ok, so I was able to boot into read only mode and create a back up of my data. How do I check for OS fullness as was mentioned in a previous comment and if it is OS fullness what is the solution there?

I think that's only possible if you can get ssh access, and to do that you need to install the "enable ssh" add-on.
One other this to check is to delete all the logs, which I think is what fills the OS volume - do that via the web i/f -> System -> Info, then clear logs.

Yea I'm not able to ssh into it or http into it. When using ssh it says connection refused, and when I using http it says the device is offline.
