6.9.3 Admin page not accessible
It seems I hit a known issue by upgrading my RN31400 to 6.9.3. The admin page is not accessible any longer. I tried all known tricks from win10 PC: chrome browser, cache clearance,.... nothing brings access.
The NAS is not connected to the internet. I am able to access the volume via Explorer but if trying to access the admin page via a browser, it displays the page for less then a second and loses connection.
RaidAR works fine. If disks are removed, systems boots in safe mode and admin page is accessible without any issue at all.
E.g. is there a chance to downgrade to 6.9.1 in safe mode with disks removed?
Any help is highly appreciated!!! Many thanks!

This is known issue if update FW without internet connection,
1. Update 6.5.0(factory default)>6.6.0>6.7.0>6.8.0>6.9.3, has the issue.
2. Update 6.6.0(factory default)>6.7.0>6.8.0>6.9.3, doesn’t have the issue. There is a hotfix, the issue can be fixed if you connect your NAS to internet and reboot NAS.

Safe mode isn’t for downgrading the firmware it’s for problems where the NAS is unable to boot.
Your system is booting fine. If it wasn’t amongst other things you wouldn’t be able to access your data.
There are a few ways to fix it if the cause is what we suspect and neither involve downgrading the firmware.
One is to do what evan2 suggested, the other is to run a few commands via SSH.

For me HTTP is no longer accesible with 6.9.3 but HTTPS works. But the problem with that is RAIDar no longer can access the admin page.
The other issue is I get a certificate error with the admin page using HTTPS.
The HTTP service has admin access checked, but it is not working. Must be a bug introduced in 6.9.3. Previous versions worked.
Also, you cannot disable HTTPS. It is grayed out.

Generally browsers now will try https, and then fail over to http (no matter what you put in the address bar). Since https responds, the browser stays with it (and gives you the certificate warning because the certificate is self-signed).

RAIDar accesses mine just fine - though I do get the usual cert warning.

Had the same issue: updated from 6.9.1 to 6.9.3, manually, via direct 1Gb link, which I use to access my files nowadays.
Once it had been done, admin page, SMB and RAIDar discovery have gone down, despite NAS reporting an obtained IP from direct LAN (W10) connection.
Once connected to a wifi router with internet connection - the functionality got back. Reinstalled 6.9.3 with internet connection - with the same results. Had to downgrade back to 6.9.1 and it works as per usual, without internet.
P.S. HTTPS indeed reports wrong certificate in chrome, but my normal way of using NAS is HTTP over local, firewall protected, or an ad-hoc network.

KMikhail, if you're comfortable with SSH you could do:
# cd /apps/.freeapps
# rm -r wordpress/
Or you could wait for 6.9.4 and update to that.
We do have beta firmware ReadyNASOS 6.9.4-T43 currently available.

Hello and thanks for the solution. As of right now I'm okay with 6.9.1.
Since 6.9.3. doesn't offer anything I really need ATM, I'll wait for the 6.9.4.
Regards,
Mikhail
