APC Powerchute and ReadyNAS Duo

Hi All,

Ive done some searching and havent really found anything that seemed to help. I have a ReadyNAS duo working faithfully away and recently discovered the old cheapie UPS had deceased. I have a new APC one and would like to get the readynas to work with it.

Looking on the software for the readynas i can see monitoring of a UPS but by IP address... Am i missing something or will these two things just not work together?!

Any clues very much appreciated.

thanks,
Ian

All you should have to do is connect the USB port of the UPS to the Duo. You don't actually need powerchute at all.

OH ok - thank you - how do i know what IP address to put in the field in the Duo software or does it do that by itself?!

There is no IP address when the UPS is connected to the duo via USB.
