I just installed a readynas duo v1 to my router and would like to set up an automatic backup (file copy, uncompressed) from my windows pc, and I am new at using nas and raid.I can map the nas as a drive on my pc and then I don't know how to proceed.Any help would be appreciated. I have not been able to reset the admin password. I need help there also. Thanks

Thanks to those who tried to help me.I decided to buy acronis and use it to back up the data to the readynas.

Do you get a login prompt when you go to https://nasipaddress/admin (using the real NAS ip address)?

  I found the admin information. I was looking at the version 2 manual instead of the version one because it is labeled v2 at the bottom but it is actually v1.
  
  I still need help setting up to back up to it.

    The best way is to get a backup tool that runs on the PCs, and which supports Windows Network Shares as a backup target.
    
    I use Acronis TrueImage that way myself. Some posters like FreeFileSync; I haven't tried it myself.
