Cannot connect to Frontview
Hi all,
The last days I cannot connect to frontview anymore. Whenever I go to http://192.168.2.147/admin (this is the correct IP address btw) I get the error "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage". After a bootup or even a soft reset this problem still exists. The NAS replies to ping, the file shares are available in Windows and I can connect to the torrent application. It seems only frontview does not work anymore.
Anyone has any idea what I should try next?
Cheers, Leo

- kuttenmannAspirantIs there any solution to this issue, yet? It seems as if a couple of users run into this issue - including me...
Btw.: Also for me, all services but HTTP(S)/Frontview work well. Even the web interface of Bittorrent can still be accessed. Port scanning also shows all services running as expected - except HTTP(S). The problem started showing up after setting a new secondary port for the HTTP(S) service although the new port was at 10000+ and unequal to any of the already used ports, e.g. by the Bittorrent web interface.
Firmware re-install as mentioned earlier in this thread also did not help. - starbbsAspirantSame here... after i install something or change a setting in frontview, about 8 of 10 times, my frontview cannot be accessed anymore.
What i did:
Reset, reinstalled firmeware, do a hard reset etc. Nothing helped to get this error fixed
My Fix:
I have to remove the utp cacble from one to the other slot and back again. Then my frontview is available.
Please help - kuttenmannAspirantI forgot to mention that my is a Duo. Thus, I unfortunately do not have a second network interface...
But thanks for your workaround as it may help the more-than-Duo customers a lot! Actually, it seems to be a rather simple problem with the NIC/IP configuration. But it's annoying and maybe also a bit tricky to fix for those devices that have only one network interface as these are not accessible by Frontview at all. Even worse when SSH is not activated as in my case. - RogerShepherdAspirantI have a Duo and I'm getting this problem too...... If I reboot I can access FrontView .... for a while. Then I get the problem that I can't connect. Everything else seems to be OK. I'll note down all the details when I've rebooted and got access to FrontView again.

4.1.7 - bit torrent enabled. Any other key things of interest to anyone? - kuttenmannAspirantBittorrent is also activated on my Duo although I am pretty sure that I de-activated it under 4.1.6. As I mentioned before, maybe it's just a port clash between Frontview and the Bittorrent web client. I will check whether Frontview is accessible for some time just after reboot. Maybe there is even enough time to disable Bittorrent?!
- kuttenmannAspirantI've tried to get access to Frontview shortly after reboot but had no success at all. As there is still no official comment on this problem by Netgear, I will open a(nother) tech support case..
- RogerShepherdAspirantHave same problem again. Rebooted and disabled bittorrent. We'll see whether this works. Maybe we'll be lucky and see this fixed in an update which upgrade AFP to work with Lion as well.

So, after another few days the problem has returned....... This time I've looked hard at the logs and I see in the httpd_errors.log the following which seem to show my reboots and possibly where Frontview is going AWOL.
