Cannot connect to Frontview
Hi all,
The last days I cannot connect to frontview anymore. Whenever I go to http://192.168.2.147/admin (this is the correct IP address btw) I get the error "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage". After a bootup or even a soft reset this problem still exists. The NAS replies to ping, the file shares are available in Windows and I can connect to the torrent application. It seems only frontview does not work anymore.
Anyone has any idea what I should try next?
Cheers, Leo

- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredWhat version of RAIDiator (can see under Info - far right - column in RAIDar)?
What do you mean by soft reset? Have you tried a firmware re-install? See http://www.readynas.com/forum/faq.php#How_do_I_re-install_the_firmware%3F
I'd suggest contacting technical support and posting your case in this thread. Use an Online Submission if more than 90 days since purchase. - lschelvisAspirantThe version is 4.1.6
By soft reset I mean the procedure described in the link you posted. After the LED blinked once I depressed the reset button and the LED began to flicker. - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredSo you're using the BitTorrent add-on included in the firmware?
I'd suggest contacting tech support for help and posting your case number as suggested above. - lschelvisAspirantI've created a case: 14721662
- Keys916AspirantI have been experiencing the same problem with my Duo, even after the Firmware re-install. I access it through a Mac and a PC, and both can access shares, and the BitTorrent client, and it is visible to the Mac through the RAIDar widget which can see the health of the disks and such, but Frontview is nowhere to be found through any browser on either OS. Please post whatever your solution ends up being. I'll start a case as well and do the same in this thread.
- phillipssamAspirantHello
I have exactly the same problem, no access to FrontView, but I can still access shares/BitTorrent...any solution yet?..
Sam - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredWhat version of RAIDiator are you using? If you turn off all torrents, can you then access Frontview?
- Match8AspirantI am having a similar problem. When trying to launch Frontview by clicking Setup button on Raidar or typing ip/admin in url, I can no longer access Frontview, although all shares and data is accessible. I recently disabled Bittorrent due to it acting squirrely. I believe the problem started right after that.
- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredYou probably should contact tech support (see Online Submission link in my sig) and post your case number.
- Match8AspirantMy case number is: 15229511
Before submitting I followed the instructions here http://www.readynas.com/forum/faq.php#How_do_I_re-install_the_firmware%3F for the Duo to reinstall the firmware, but all that seems to have changed is the static ip I had set went to one from dhcp from my router. All data and shares are still intact via the new ip.
