Frontview not accepting any changes #19231691

Edited - I have edited the case number to match the phone case number. My machine is in Tech Support Mode. If someone with rights has time and can take a look I'd REALLY appreciate it. Also there are new symptoms...I can access frontview for about an hour after I do an OS Install and then it stops until I reinstall the OS again. Still, there are NO settings that will save...Case 19231691

I hope someone here can help me. I have a ReadyNAS Ultra 4 with 4.2.21 installed. It has been up for about 8 months with no issues. I use AjaxPlorer as a web interface to access files from outside. 2 days ago I upgraded AjaxPlorer and within 6 hours I couldn't login (to the AjaxPlorer). I tried to reinstall it via frontview and realized that I cant make any changes at all. I tried backing up my data and cant create any backup jobs. I cant install new Add-Ons, or make any other changes via frontview at all. I also can no longer map via CIFS or AFP.

I've looked around the forums and have seen other people with the same issue and it was suggested to the that their OS partition was full. I cant, however, find anywhere that tells me how to remedy it. I have created a support ticket (19231691). Can I just do an OS Install? Do OS Installs wipe the data on the shares? Please help. All of my family photos, music, ISOs, and VMs are on that NAS and I have no backup.

If the OS partition is full an OS re-install wouldn't resolve the problem. Support does have a method of remotely logging into systems to investigate problems such as these.

Hopefully support can help you recover your data but in future please backup your irreplaceable data. Trusting irreplaceable data to a single device is not good. See Preventing Catastrophic Data Loss
