No Access over WiFi
Hi Guys,
I purchased the ReadyNAS Duo v2 about a year ago. Everything worked just fine until (approx) 1 week ago.
Wired connection still works great. The problem is trying to connect via wifi. I cannot access the NAS from a windows 7 machine, iMac , Phone (android) over wifi.
No browser access and strangely I cannot ping the NAS over wifi.
When I physically disconnect the Imac RAIDar cannot find the NAS drive. Re-connect the cable and it pops up almost immediately.
I have rebooted the NAS several times, updated the firmware, confirmed IP address scheme, to no avail.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Mods, if this is not the correct section can you please move the thread.
Thank you.

- fastfwdVirtuosoFirst step: Make sure that "AP Isolation" is turned OFF on your wireless access point / router.

You are going to have to explain exactly how the NAS is connected to your lan, and how your iMac is connected to your lan.
Are they both connected to a router or a switch?
When you say you remove a cable, what cable do you mean? Is this the cable from the iMac to a router/ switch ?
This sounds very much like a network setup problem and the forum members will need morê details about this. - StephenBGuru - Experienced UserIt would also be helpful to know if your router is providing the WiFi, or if you have a separate WiFi access point.
fastfwd's advice is also on target. Some WiFi APs/Routers have a feature blocks WiFi devices from access your local LAN. This is convenient for folks who want to provide a WiFi hot-spot for guests. Maybe provide more information on what model WiFi router/AP you are using, and the wifi settings. - jad82TutorHi Guys,
My router is an zyxel F1000, it provides the wifi. I also have a 5 port Netgear switch.
The F1000 is connected to a switch. The NAS / iMac are then connected to that switch. When I removed the cable, I removed the cable that was connecting the iMac to the switch.
I'm not at home at the moment but I'll check the "AP Isolation" when I return home. I will also post the wifi settings.
Thanks guys. I'll report back - fastfwdVirtuoso

If there's no setting called "AP Isolation", look for one called "Guest WLAN". - StephenBGuru - Experienced User

For those with the same router. Here's the solution
log into the modem, network settings > qos > class setup > EDIT RTSP and default from LAN to LOCAL, or just delete all settings in the QoS Class setup list - StephenBGuru - Experienced UserOdd that a qos setting would mess things up that way, but I am glad you have it working now.
- jad82TutorStephen, I thought it was strange but delighted to have my NAS back online
