Power button and loss of connectivity
Recently have a ReadNAS 2120V2
Firmware 6.6.0
Computers Connected Win10 pro
Nas seems to be dropping the connection to the network from time to time. The ethernet cards are set up as a bonded pair and active backup (eth1 over eth0) with a fixed IP address
Per the front LED indicators both cards are active as the leds are blinking. Restarting the individual computers does not help. I cannot access
the NAS via a browser. It will time out.
My only recourse is to shut down the NAS and restart. However, hold down the power button does nothing. Per the manual i hold down the button, but the led will never start blinking. Have held the power button for upto a minute. Only way I can reboot the unit is to use the powerbutton in the back, but then it takes hours for a resync.
Any sugestions?

Have you tried disabling IPv6 on the NAS?
Have you checked the logs for clues? Many of the logs are timestamped.
well disabling IPv6 did not even come up in my thoughts, but have disabled now.
There is nothing in the logs saying that there was a problem with the ethernet cards
Only thing logged was back up failure, I am assuming this was due to loss of connectivity with the network

There are several log files in the logs zip download. They should give at least some indication as to what happened.
so this thread been address my issue with the NIC
However, the other issue does not seem to have gotten any attention.
I cannot turn off the unit via the power button on the front panel.

Do you have a backup? If not, can you make one now?
I back up everynight
