ReadyNAS 314 intermittently loses DNS
I have a ReadyNas 314 that has DNS issues. If I change the DNS settings in any way it will be fine for a while. For example if I change the DNS server from 8.8.8.8 to 8.8.4.4 it will work for a while. This has happened several times. I have tried a multitude of known good DNS servers, with the same results. File sharing, ISCSI etc work fine internally. Internet name resolution is the problem and the NAS will show Internet offline. We use Readycloud so it is an issue. Any ideas would be appreciated.
OS is 6.5.0

Is the ReadyNAS using a static address or dhcp? Are you using both NICs in the RN314 or just one? If you are using both, is the R8500/NAS using LACP bonding or a different mode?

It is an RN314. Not sure how R8500 got in the subject line. Just using one NIC with a static IP.

Hello twocycle,
I have changed and corrected the title now and replaced R8500 with ReadyNAS 314.
Are you still using 6.5.0? Have you tried updating the firmware? ReadyCloud will be available only for 6.5.1 and later versions. If you are using ReadyCloud, you also need to migrate the account, please see ReadyCLOUD to MyNETGEAR Single Sign-On FAQ.
And as always, we strongly recommend to always have full backup of the data stored to the NAS.
