ReadyNAS Duo v1 OS Reinstall questions
From my previous post:
I have purchased another seagate 2tb drive and was able to install the os the drive from disc 1 slot. So I have eliminated that the controller for the Duo has gone bad.
I have one of the old discs in currently and it tells me that there is a Corrupt Root.
I did some searching and found that I might be able to fix this with an OS Reinstall.
I shutdown the Duo, held in the reset button, pressed the power button, released the power button, waitied for both disc LEDs to flash 1 time, released the reset button.
Now all 5 LEDS are flashing at me in this pattern: 3 slow blinks, followed by 3 rapid blinks. This is power, disc 1 and 2, activity and the led over the backup button.
Is the OS being reinstalled? How can I tell if the OS is being installed? How long does that usually take? The Duo has been like this for 20 minutes now. I will leave it for another 40 minutes.
UPDATE: the power button is not blinking in the same pattern anymore it is simply blinking. The other 4 green LEDS are still blinking in 3 slow blinks 3 rapid blinks.
Thank you

Hi clblackman,
Does the device still show up in RAIDar? Could you try to do a ping via cmd? Also, check if you can access https://192.168.1.61/admin/.
Kind regards,

I think I finally got the OS reinstall to happen.
RAIDar 6.0 told me Upgrading with both Drive icons with Green check marks
Then it switched to System starting up and drive 1 with an X and drive 2 with a green check mark. (see image)
It has been at System Starting up for an hour now. When should this end?
