ReadyNAS NV+ won't power up
My question is I bought it Jan of 2007 before Infrant was bought by NetGear. Do I still have a valid warranty with this unit?
By power up, I mean it is dead. As if the power cord was not plugged in. No sign of life.
Thanks,
K

Where are you from (e.g. USA)? Do you have a case number you could post in case someone from NetGear comes along this thread? - keatonleeAspirantI'm in the US (Minnesota). I didn't get a case number, but was told my customer number is customer id:14205027.
Looks like my serial number is in the range. Just rechecked my serial number - last 4 numbers are 15xx which falls within the range. I was mistaken before.
Ken - craigwmillerAspirantI have recently suffered a PSU failure. My serial number, however, is after the window: 000D-A201-8185. And I'm clearly out of my 1-year warranty.
I'm currently running with an externally-connected ATX power supply (with modified wiring), so it's definitely the PSU.
Is there anything that support can/would do for this since I'm out of the S/N range (though the problem sounds similar to that of this thread).
Thanks!

- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredIf you purchased it new then it would have come with a 5-year warranty. Contact tech support.
- sq13zAspirantHi
My readynas nv+ just failed and suspect it is the psu problem as describe in this forum.
My unit number is 000D-A201-4C85 and am not sure the date I bought it but it is an Infrant instead of Netgear.
I have just log my case with Netgear using your online link with the case number 14603109.
As I am based in Singapore I am not sure how I can get the psu replaced.
Thanks - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredIt doesn't matter whether it's Infrant or NetGear (though if it's Infrant it's more likely that you purchased it earlier). The date of purchase is important and whether the serial number is in the range. Your serial number is in the range, so if it's out of warranty, I guess it's up to what NetGear in your region decides to do.
- sq13zAspirantThanks, I will wait the regional Netgear to response.
In the event that they will not replace it, how much does a new psu cost and will there be a discount if I return the failed unit.
Thanks - schalliolAspirantMy NV+ had this issue today and they set up a RMA for me as well!
