ReadyNAS NVX Business Edition problem
I have had this unit for over a year, up until a month or so back its been working fine
I mainly use it for downloading via flexget and transmission, so only TV episodes and films on it
about a month ago all devices on my network started to disconnect and reconnect every few minutes or less, doesn't matter if they are wired or wireless, after trying various routers without success, i finally worked out it was the ReadyNAS NVX
when its connected to the network, all devices including the NVX disconnect then reconnect, when its not connected to the network, all devices work fine
i have tried using Lan 1 and Lan 2 (still disconnects), tried both together (still disconnects), tried resetting the NVX to factory default (same thing)
updated the firmware to RAIDiator 4.2.27 (same thing)
i am completely confused as to why this happens when the NVX is connected to the network
i have tried a few different routers
2x Netgear DGN2000
2x Netgear DG834GT
1x Linksys WAG354G v2
has anyone got any suggestions what i can try next?

- I don't think he would have had the time do have done another factory default between his last 2 posts.
OP had tried factory default during his initial troubleshooting. What he hasn't done is factory default and run the nas with no addons to see if the issue is present without them. For some reason he can't remove one of the addons he has, and is therefore going to try another factory reset. - I did a factory default last night, forgot to use raidar in time so the system defaulted to raid 1, when I went to bed it was still creating the raid, woke up this morning to an error on frontview about one of the drives, it was clicking which it never did before, factory default again, this time choosing raid 0, when it finished only 1 hdd was being recognised, tried the bad hdd on my windows machine, nothing, tried it in ubuntu in virtualbox, not recognised, booted my comp into Ubuntu via USB, still not recognised
On a plus side, I can surf the net on my phone, tab, downloads torrents with the nas connected without being being booted - So sounds like a failing drive caused some weird issues.
- Possibly, or it was something to do with flexget or python on the machine
- so Any idea which repository to use on my nas for apt-get, forgot to check
i am using 4.2.27 - There is a repository already mentioned in the sources list
