ReadyNAS Pro 6 running OS 6.10.8 Volume Missing?

Pro 6 running ReadyNAS OS 6.10.8 with RAID 6.  Unable to access any of my shares.  Web indicates "No volumes exist.  NETGEAR recommends that you create a volume before configuring other settings.  Navigate to System -> Volumes page to create a volume."

From the Admin page, error shows:

"Remove inactive volumes to use the disk.  Disk 1,2,3,4,5,6"

Admin System Volumes page showing all 6 bays as red

"Volume is inactive or dead".

How can I recover my volume? What files do I need to attach for troubleshooting? I've downloaded the logs zip file.

Can you download the full logs and send it to us via PM? You can also email readynassupport@netgear.com

We may need to check if the array can still be mounted or if it will need data recovery.

Note: Data recovery charges may apply.

      Thanks Marc,

I just sent the log file via email.  The PM option wouldn't allow me to attach the log file.

      Thanks,

      Vijay

FWIW, the usual method is to put the zip into cloud storage (dropbox, etc), and PM a link.

Tech support said the device is old and no longer supported.

What steps can I take to troubleshoot?
So far, I've run a disk test which indicated:
Disk test failed in channel 3.

I powered off the unit and replaced disk 3.
Web interface still shows my volume as dead or inactive and still shows disks 1,2,4,5,6 in red and still tells me that I need to remove inactive volumes.

The device was configured with RAID 6, so I'm confused that it is not trying to rebuild the volume at all.

Not only that, they never supported OS-6 on legacy NAS like the Pro-6.

It sounds like you have no backup of your data - is that correct?

Did the mods find anything in the log zip?

        Sometimes the volume gets out-of-sync.
