[RN102] Lost access to admin page

Hello,

I don't remember what I did prior to this happening, but I am unable to access the admin page. I receive a connection denied whenever I try to SSH or access the admin page GUI.

I have tried rebooting, complete power off, and an OS reinstall. All to no avail.

Any help I can get would greatly be appreciated.

    Did you uninstall an app?

Remember the user for SSH is 'root' (no quotes) not 'admin'. Had you enabled the SSH service?

By a backup I meant do you have a backup of your data?
  • Nah, there is nothing important on there. It was linked to my media server. I have my important docs and pics backed up elsewhere.
  • Hello,

I'm having the same problem as a number of other people. I installed and removed an app in OS version 6.2.2 and now can't access the web interface although all of the shares are available and RAIDar shows everything healthy. I've reinstalled the OS but this hasn't helped and I don't have SSH enabled.

What do I need to do to fix this?

    Thanks
    Colin

There's lots of posts about this in the forum.

    You can
    (a) contact Netgear support via email (support.netgear.com). They should fix it remotely w/o charge.
    (b) easily fix it yourself if you have ssh enabled.
    (c) if you have a scratch disk, there is a way to bootstrap 6.2.3 onto your existing hard drives w/o loss of data. That would restore web ui access.
    (d) if you have a full backup, you could also do a factory reset, and then reload the data onto the NAS.

    (a) or (c) are your easiest options. Someone from Netgear might also PM you here, and offer to help directly.
