RN102 not connecting to network

I have a RN102, I have followed the set up instructions but it does not get and IP address from my router.  It is not shown as an attached device.

After booting the power button is on and the act both solid blue.

Neither of the drive lights are on.

The drives are new WD WD20EFRX drives x2.

The drives can be heard to spin up.

I have performed a factory reset using the reset button and choosing drive 1 from the boot menu, then the power button flashes for a few seconds then becomes solid with the act light on.

I have looked at router logs and cannot see any attempt to connect.

I have tried the supplied patch cable on another device and it works so cable ok.

I have tried another device in the network socket of the RN102 and that works.

On the RN102 and the network socket the green light is flashing.

Thanks in advance

What about if you try a factory reset with just the one disk? If that doesn't work, just with the other disk?

If you purchased new, you do have 90 day phone support which covers installation. It might be good to use that.

I want to clarify this - I am guessing that you mean you tested the network port io your router that is connected to the NAS.  Let me know if I have that right.

    What model is the router?

Try downloading RAIDar (http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/20684/~/readynas-downloads?cid=wmt_netgear_organic) and see if it can find the NAS.  It should be able to do this even if the RN102 can't get an IP address.

      Yeah.

I am connection it to a wired switch from the router, which my pc is also connected.

I used the suppled cable for my pc and that was fine a and connected my pc to the NAS scoket and that was fine.

      The Model is RN10200.

There is IO activity on the socket at the back and on the switch (green light flashing) but it does not get an IP address from the router DHCP server.

I saw a youtube tutorial on doing afactory reset, mine does not seem to flash the same lights.  After rebooting with the reset button pressed and selecting disk 1 then pressing reset again only the power light flashes for a few seconds then that is it.

      Thank you

Sorry I meant to say RAIDir does not find it either.

I have a DUO v2 on the same switch which it does find and is working fine.  I have tried with that turned off also. No joy.

      Thanks

I think the fastest option is to use your 90 support.

I am guessing that there is a hardware failure in the chassis.
