Hi Dwarf! Thanks you're still out there! I can confirm the presence of the /etc/mysql folder, it contains the file my.cnf - (looks like mysql config file)
Further, I see the lines you wrote in the /etc/init.d/mysql file. But I do lack the debian.cnf file, so it would be great if you can send it to me.
