Ultra 4 - very slow file copy
RAID 5 with 3 2TB Seagate disk.
When i copy a 6GB mkv file it copies at 15MB/second over a 1GB link!
If i enable Jumbo frames this jumps to 80MB/seconds - but my internet stops working from the PC - as the BT infinity hub does not support Jumbo frames..
Any thoughts?

- sleepy06405AspirantI wonder if hes using an ISP with PPPoE or something. That might explain it.
- StephenBGuru - Experienced UserMaybe he should focus on getting his NAS working first, then circle back to the jumbo frame mystery.
- sleepy06405AspirantI have trouble accepting the idea that logmein can modify the mtu. MTU is down at layer 3/4 and logmein is up at layer 6/7 of the osi model. Apps don't jump layers. But I'll butt out, I'm new here :)

It is not modifying the MTU, I didn't mean to suggest that. Like all applications it does have control over the message sizes it chooses to send. Logmein also uses UDP, so TCP negotiation is not a factor.sleepy06405 wrote: I have trouble accepting the idea that logmein can modify the mtu. What is odd about the problem is that normal web surfing seems to be totally failing, not that logmein continues to work.
