Uncontrolled power-ups with RN Pro after Raidar Upg.

After upgrading my ReadyNAS Pro to RAIDiator 4.2.12, I now experience uncontrolled system starts.
System now boots up uncontrolled at least three times a day when turned off.
Of course, scheduler an WoL are disabled.
Any ideas what that might be caused from?

Thanx & Best Regards

  • Please contact support and open the case if you are having issue with current 4.2.17 release.
  • I just received an RMA unit for a different problem and the new unit has this issue. it always boots when power is first applied and if i turn it off with two presses of the blue button it comes back up in about 4 minutes.

I put in a single spare disk - updated the firmware to 4.2.17 which is what i was using before - powered down - installed 6 disks and it came right up. however unit will not stay powered off more than 5 min before reboot.

    this is second rma
    - original unit stuck not finding disks and saying readynas
    - first rma temp 2 sensor went to 190F during weekly parity scrub of raid but normal otherwise probable thermal grease issue
    - second rma arrived with 4.2.12 firmware (if memory serves) so flashed to 4.2.17 with spare disk but will not stay powered off

any suggestions? this is a pro business edition.
  • Ended up with a new unit, everything is working well at this point! Thanks for the support!!!
