There is something here to fix, but it'd be useful to know why the NAS is resyncing.  You shouldn't be rebooting it while it is resyncing.

You should download the log zip file.  Then send a link (dropbox, google drive, etc) to the mods ( @JohnCM_S or @Marc_V ) and ask them to analyze them for you.  Do that in a private message (PM) - clicking on the envelope icon in the upper right of the forum.  Don't post the link publicly.

Also, if you don't have a backup of your files you should make one.  Your data is at risk.

Hi

The NAS is resync my new disks I put in yesterday.
So now when the resync is done I have made a backup job for my files to other disk at network.

After that is complete, I am going to restore to factory default on nas, and then put in the three 4TB disk I want to use in X-Raid.

And see if that help me out.

If it does help I will recover my files to the X-Raid when Resync is completed on the three disks.

It'd be more efficient to power down the NAS, install the final set of disks, and then use the boot menu to do a factory default.

That will also completely reinstall the OS, so your issue with HTTPs settings should be resolved.

Note that "available apps" can take some time to show up.  You can alternatively download the apps from apps.readynas.com and install them manually.  I also recommend checking out www.rnxtras.com - there is a small charge, but you'll get support in return.

Don't over-do it with apps - your RN104 has a relatively slow CPU and much less RAM than current models.  And older apps can destabilize your system.

Re: RN104: Need some help, cant change http, https settings, and apps dont show up.

So, I dont need to backup my data on the disk?
I just can wait until tomorrow, and then put in my new disk, and make a factory default run on the NAS

and after that I have my data left on my disk?

If I dont need to do a backup of the data on the disk now then I be happy by that, and that save som time.

But I dont want to loose that data on that disk, But I did think if I do a factory default setup I would loose the data on the disk there is in now?

Yeah, I currently have 0 apps on the mashine, and only use 3 apps on it in the past: PHP, MySQL, and phpMyAdmin.

Yes.  So you do need a backup.

What I was meaning to say is that if you do a factory reset with one disk in place, and then add the others you will end up doing 3 resyncs - each one taking longer than the last one.

It's faster to do the reset with all disks in place, as then you do only one sync when the volume is created.

But either way you will ned to restore your data from backup after you do the reset.

Ah, yeah, I dont think the backup is done untill I got the new disk tomorrow anyway 🤣

But thanks for the answers and help so far 🙂

Re: RN104: Need some help, cant change http, https settings, and apps dont show up.

Finaly, after 24 hour of backing up 4TB data to other space in network...... I must say, the speed in this mashine is not the greatest....
15-30 Mb/s....... So that the downside about the NAS......

Anyway, I have done a factory reset, and my 3 disks are resyncing now, and they are emty, and I can now change the HTTP settings and the HTTPS settings again.....

But..... I cant install or view apps, available apps is loading for a sec, then it stops and nothing more happens.....
completly emty.....

And when I try to install them manually it fails, and say it cant be installed..... 😞

How can I solve that? I do need MySQL and phpMyAdmin on the NAS

I suggest waiting for the resync to complete, and then add the apps.

I suggest avoiding the free versions, and purchasing them from https://rnxtras.com/readynas-os6-arm

Re: RN104: Need some help, cant change http, https settings, and apps dont show up.

So I cant do anything with my NAS for 2-3 days while it syncing?
Not do any settings, changes, create maps, or install apps on it?

avoiding the free? I have been using the free ones on the nas and have the nas running with it for 3 years now without any problem.
So what is the diffrent with that you are linking?

You shouldn't reboot it in the middle of a sync - that is just asking for trouble.  You can usually make changes (though performance is slow) - but obviously something isn't quite right with your install.

One possibility is to start over with just one drive in place, and do the full setup - verifying that eveything is working.  Then hot-insert the remaining drives (one at a time) to build up the full volume.  However, that will take much longer than letting the resync complete.  So I'd probably wait for the resync - and if the http/https settings issue is still there, I'd then try an OS reinstall.

Netgear has been upgrading the OS-6 linux kernel and associated libraries fairly regularly.  That has created stability issues with several of the free apps - many of them aren't up to date, and the app provider is often longer around.

The ones on rnxtras.com are very inexpensive ( €4.98 for the pair).  They are kept up to date, and you will get support if you run into issues.  Note I'm not associated in any way with that site - I don't receive revenue or any other considerations from @WhoCares_ (who runs it).

Re: RN104: Need some help, cant change http, https settings, and apps dont show up.

The last thing I did was a facory reset with my 3 disk in it, and can see on the display that it is resync now, so I am going to let it be that way and not going to log in or do anything with it until the resync is done....

Its about 22.50% done now, so about 30-35 hours or so it is complete 😛

Re: RN104: Need some help, cant change http, https settings, and apps dont show up.

I will soon give up hope on NETGEAR.........
I started over with a old disk that whas inside before, did a fatcory reset....
And problem still there,,,,,
So I rolled back from firmware V6.10.1 to V6.10.0.....

After that my nas did a automatic firmware update to V6.10.0 hotfix 2
And after that I could see and install apps from apps tab.....
So I installed mysql server and phpmyadmin....
imported my database and users.

And now is a new problem, that Kodi cant connect to the databse.....

ERROR: Unable to open database: kodi18_music72 [2002](Can't connect to MySQL server on '192.168.1.78' (10060))

And all this **bleep** from changing disk in the nas.....
NETGEAR is a big joke and just crappy **bleep** right now.
