WAX214 and local DNS

Just installed 2xWAX214 access points. I define local names (dev-name.home) for local devices, and use a local DNS on my router (Draytek Vigor 2762) to resolve them to ip addresses. This generally works correctly, and saves the need to remember ip address allocations.
I've defined local names for the 2 APs (wap-l0.home and wap-l1.home). These resolve correctly, and I can both ping the APs using the name, and connect via SSH using the name. But when I try to use the name rather than the IP address in a browser (either Firefox or Safari), I am taken to a Netgear page, https://www.netgear.com/business/services/aplogincom/
2 questions:
1. Why?
2. What can I do about it, besides reverting to the ip address.
Thanks
Geoff

Geoff,
This is a (longer standing, among other) known issues and limitations e.g. on the WAX214 and WAX218 models. It was addressed before the release of the recently released WAX220 AP models. Similar limitation on the WAX6xx for example, too. Have never heard back from my reports.
