The standard name that shows up for my hardwired connection from the router to my computer is "Netgear75". I know how to go in and change wireless networks but this is the hardwired ethernet connection. Is it possible to change this name as the identifier for the hardwired network? If yes, how would I go about doing this?

For future reference, it is best to attach an image to a message reply (limit one to a reply) due to timing. Any image you insert has to be approved by a moderator before I can see it. This can often take 24+ hours.
Need to get your terminology correct. In your image, the Ethernet 2 name is the network name. Below where it says NETGEAR75, that is the active network profile name.
Both the network name and the network profile name are part of the Windows configuration on your computer. They are not part of your CAX30 configuration.
Web search can be your friend if you can sort out the irrelevant information. Do a web search for "rename network profile windows 11" without the quotes. What you want to change is deep in the heart of Windows and the changes you want are different than they were in previous versions. Some of the old information and suggestions will not work in Windows 11.

I am a firm believer in the saying "if it is not broke, don't fix it". Recommend you consider your active network profile name as not broke. To change the active network profile name you will need to edit the registry of your computer.
Before you start editing the registry of a Windows computer, you need to become familiar with both backing up the registry and restoring a backup if something goes wrong. Serious damage can be done and you need to read the warnings in the reference article above.
Good luck.

What operating system is your computer running? If Windows, which version 10 or 11?
Specifically where do your see the Netgear75 name used for your hardwired connection?

Re: CAX30 - CHANGING ROUTER'S HARDWIRD NAME
Thanks for the tip. I totally agree and had done searches on how to change the name and the edit registry thing came up and it doesn't bug me that much to mess with the registry.
Thanks for the response.
