Accessing cable modem config page

System Name: SRX5308    Firmware Version: 4.3.3-8

The WAN side of my SRX is 10.11.12.13 and the LAN side is 10.20.30.1.  The LAN side of my Cable Modem is 10.11.12.1.

The config page of the cable modem can be reached at http://10.11.12.1.  The cable modem status page is available if I connect to a port on the 10.11.12.x subnet

With my previouse Linksys firewall configured with same addresses I was able to access the configuration page of the cable modem using http://10.11.12.1.  With the SRX I am unable to.

What is blocking this access and what can I do to fix it?

Thanks!

Re: Accessing cable modem config page

Hello jonmartin,

Welcome to the community!

Did you make any routing configurations or VLANs on the SRX5308? Were you able to ping the IP address of the modem?

Thanks,

No routing changes.  Yes I can ping.  Problem persisted across reboot of both devices then sudenly it started working.
