BR500 blinking power light

BR500 was stored for about a year. Went to reinstall and the power light blinks unendingly, no other lights come on, and a factory reset attempt seems to do nothing. No change in light behavior trying to reset it.

Is there anything I can do?

You can try recoving it with tftp or nmrpflash.  

are you on windows? if so, follow this guide

just make sure you enable tftp

and if that doesn't work, you can try using nmrpflash

Since you already performed a factory reset and still the same issue, your BR500 needs to be replaced.  I suggest you to open a support ticket with NETGEAR Support here at anytime.  Kindly state your concern and be sure to upload a soft copy of the Proof of Purchase of your BR500 for warranty verification.  If the hardware warranty is still valid, an online replacement will be processed.
