Hi community,
I have a netgear cable modem CM1150V, my netgear Router BR500 built-in speed test shows the full bandwidth 600/20 MB paid subscription, but any device behind the BR500 Router gets only half of it.
Testing speed with my ISP provided speed test, on a Gigabit Ethernet wired connections directly connected to Router.
Any idea, or others with the same prob and possible solution ?
Regards.

Re: Half of bandwidth behind Router BR500
Toggling On/Off QoS resolved the issue 🙂
Wow now I'm getting even more bandwidth. Thank you VM rjwerth28

Re: Half of bandwidth behind Router BR500
Actually, is not QoS what resolved the issue.
What made the diff is the tool to check the spped.
Testing with Xfinity and Ookla webtool always give apox 300 MB download speed
https://speedtest.xfinity.com/
However, testing with Ookla native Application, give much better results, always above 700 MB (m subscription is for 600 MB though)

I think the web version is somehow throttled down by the browser or soemthing else, because using same ISP give diff results between native app and webapp.
I'm using Firefox and Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.19041.330]
Hope it helps.
