LifeSize video conferencing system
Good evening, I have a customer whos service is deteriorating.
QOS is disabled. Experiencing slow response in the last month.
We have Comcast 100 downstream service, performance at the Comcast model is delivered as expected.
The router does not loose any packets or showing collissions.
The specification in this model is for IPSec traffic of 30Mbps. Is this for all traffic even if it is not initiated by Netgear VPN, not familiar with IPSec protocol. If this is for IPSec traffic, I assume that voice conferencing is killing it.
The major complaint is that the voice conferencing is not stable. I see connection speeds of approximately 15 Mbps on the high end of but then it deteriorates during the date. Not constant or stable.
We have approximately 39 devices in a day connected to router via WIFI radios. Those radios are directly connected to router, no MESH enabled radios.
Using cloudtrax wifi management software.
Thanks, Jorge.

Re: LifeSize video conferencing system
Hi jrmccs,
Welcome to the community! 🙂
Kindly answer the questions below:
a. Is the voice conferencing done via the IPSec VPN tunnel?
b. How is everything connected? It would be best if you post a screenshot or an image of your detailed network setup.
c. Do you have a switch that has a voice VLAN configured where there are VoIP phones connected to it being used for voice conferencing?
d. What is the current firmware of the FVS318Gv2?
I look forward to your response.
Regards,
DaneA
