We have FVS318G vpn firewall in our office which we gave connection to three 24-port switches. From, past two days we are getting an error as site cannot reached, so when  we restart the router we can access sites for few hours again the issue occurs,

Could you please help me out this.

Re: site cannot be reached

Hello pavan_k8,

Welcome to the community!

Let's try to isolate your issue first, I have a few questions for you:

  1. When you see the error message "site cannot be reached" are you still able to access the interface of the router?
  2. What is the status of the WAN Led (light) on the router when the issue occurs?
  3. If the UI is still accessible, are you still getting a WAN IP?
  4. Do you have a computer/device connected to the router directly? Does it experience the same issue?
  5. Do you use fixed (static) IP or automatic on the modem?

Looking forward to your response.

Thanks,

  4. Do you have a computer/device connected to the router directly? Does it experience the same issue?                                                        We have computer connected to the router directly. Before it happens frequenlty for 1 hour and now it occurs once in a day
  5. Do you use fixed (static) IP or automatic on the modem?                                                                                                                               We have static id configured in the router

Re: site cannot be reached

Hello pavan_k8,

Try using generic DNS Primary 8.8.8.8 and  secondary 8.8.4.4. Let us know if you will experience the same issue. Also, can you share what firmware version you are using?

Thanks,
