GSM7312 Bricked???

Just upgrade my GSM7312 via TFTP from version 3.xxx to the latest version on the downloads site, it now just constantly loops round booting up.

Can i upgrade via the console port and reset it to a lower version, I have managed to find a Netgear site with a version 5? There is the ability to upload files but not sure how to install them once uploaded, any advice?

I know it's out of support.

    Hi Thornweb,

    Welcome to the community! :)

It is not recommended to upgrade the firmware from v3.x.x.x straight to the latest v6.2.0.14.  The advisable way is to upgrade the firmware in a ladderized manner.  For example, v3.0.3.2 to v5.1.1.3 then from v5.1.1.3 to v6.0.0.15 and so on until you reach the latest firmware version.

Kindly access the articles below that I found online and follow the steps indicated:

What do I do when my GSM managed switch does not boot up?

What to do when my managed switch does not boot?

    Hope it helps.

I just want to follow-up on this.  Were you able to access and follow the steps indicated on the articles I've shared?  If yes, what is the result?

I managed to rescue it by downloading  a version 5 firmware then version 6 via the console port and modem, all working now thanks

I would just like to confirm that following the instructions in the first link above worked for me - I now have full access to the CLI and web interface again! Thanks!
