LLDP on ProSafe GSM7248

Hello sndlt,

 

 

It appears that you are using the version 1 model of the switch, the LLDP feature is not available for this model. The GSM7248v1 has been an end-of-life model for years now, the last firmware posted is dated 2008. You might need to consider getting a newer version if you want to implement LLDP.

So is it simple as upgrading the firmware to the latest?

or do we have to replace the whole hardware?

    You're welcome. I have checked the notes for the firmware release, LLDP was not mentioned. You'll have to upgrade your hardware, I think it is about time anyway. :)
