Title: Need Help with VLAN Setup and ACLs on M4300 52 POE Switch
Hi everyone,
I'm currently working on a network setup and could use some guidance to achieve my goals. Here's what I am trying to accomplish:
1. Have two VLANs that will be hosted on separate SSIDs on Access Points.
2. Utilize ACLs to restrict inter-VLAN communication.
Equipment:
- Switch: M4300 52 POE
VLAN Configuration:
- VLAN 1: Ports 1/0/45 to 1/0/50 (untagged)
- VLAN 5: Ports 1/0/45 to 1/0/50 (tagged)
Port Assignments:
- Ports 1/0/45 to 1/0/48 will be designated for Access Points.
- Ports 1/0/49 to 1/0/50 will be used for the Internet uplink.
ACLs setup
After implementing these configurations, clients belonging to different VLANs can still ping each other, which is not the behaviour I expected. I would have anticipated the ping to fail.
Any advice on how to set up the VLANs and apply the necessary ACLs would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help!

Strangely, the ACLs rules functioned correctly after saving the configuration file, resetting the switch, and subsequently reloading the saved configuration file.
