NETGEAR Armor is not showing my router

I am having this same issue on my RAX200. Anyone have a solution to this?

Re: NETGEAR Armor is not showing my router

Be sure FW is up to date on the Router.
Be sure your using latest version of the Nighthawk app:

https://community.netgear.com/t5/Nighthawk-App/New-Nighthawk-App-Versions-and-Updates/td-p/2308366/j...

How too:

Might Factory reset the router and setup from scratch using either a PC and web browser then log in to the router using the NH app and check Armor status here. Or setup from scratch with the NH app.

Re: NETGEAR Armor is not showing my router

I had to revert 3 firmwares behind as the most recent firmware DEC 2022 caused the router to malfunction by dropping internet every 10 minutes. During that time I factory reset it and I am just noticing now that armor is having issues on the web portal.

What is the Mfr and model# of the Internet Service Providers modem/ONT the NG router is connected too?
Be sure your using a good quality LAN cable between the modem and router. CAT6A STP is recommended.

It's a Rogers XB7 model. I believe it is CGM4331ROG. I am using a cat6 cable yes.

Re: NETGEAR Armor is not showing my router

One problem that you may have seen with the disconnect every 10 minutes, the ISP modem already has a built in router. Having the RAX200 behind it causes a double NAT condition. Not recommended.

Couple of options,
1. Configure the modem for transparent bridge or modem only mode. Then use the NG router in router mode. You'll need to contact the ISP for help and information in regards to the modem being bridged correctly.
2. If you can't bridge the modem, disable ALL wifi radios on the modem, configure the modems DMZ/ExposedHost or IP Pass-Through for the IP address the NG router gets from the modem. https://kb.netgear.com/25891/DMZ-on-NETGEAR-routers
https://kb.netgear.com/24086/How-do-I-set-up-a-default-DMZ-server-on-my-Nighthawk-router
3. Or disable all wifi radios on the modem and connect the NG router to the modem, LAN to LAN configure AP mode on the NG router.
https://kb.netgear.com/20927/How-do-I-change-my-NETGEAR-router-to-AP-mode
Try option #2 first...

I'd get the RAX200 re-updated with FW, configured option #2 from above then, factory reset the RAX and setup from scratch to see if Armor becomes available on the WEB UI, and if so, then check it's settings and enabled it using the Nighthawk mobile app as that's the only place you can enabled and control Armor. Armor and FW update gets updated so they work on latest versions of FW. Older versions of FW may not work or become outdated with Armor services.

Re: NETGEAR Armor is not showing my router

My ISP modem has been bridged since the beginning and is still bridged. It was only when I updated the RAX200 to the current firmware where it started to lose internet which led me to resetting it and reverting a few versions behind for stability. Is there a way for me to reset the armor connection as the website thinks there is no router attached yet I am getting notifications of vulnerability scans. The last scans were from the date I reset the router.
