Hello
I use a READNAS Duo x2 RDN2110 and also a ReadyNAS NV+
The question I have.
what kind of Hard drive I can use for both devices,
Can I use any Hard drive, or is there a requirement?
How many TB I can use for each of one (Limit)?
The ReadyNAS NV+ I did try to add 4x4TB Drives, but only one was seen. Is there a problem with the ReadyNAS NV+?
Updates are all up-to-date.
Board Not sure which one both have. So do not ask me which board in each of one is. thank you.
Thank you for answering
Mike

Hi Mike
Welcome to the Community!
First off you may want to make sure what version of Duo and NV+ you have. You can check that through this article though the easiest way to check is on the FW being used, v1s should be on OS 4.x while v2s are on OS 5.x
This is to make sure you will be using the correct disks available for your unit. Duo V1 and NV+ V1 have a maximum of 2TB drives per bay while V2s have 4TB maximum compatible drives and any NAS purposed drives is advisable.
Hope this helps!
Regards

Re: Readynas nv+ / READY NAS DUO
thank you for answering me.
I have the latest updates.
But I still wonder why only one Drive is found and not the other 3.
Is there a list out which drives can be used?
regards and thanks
Mike

Re: Readynas nv+ / READY NAS DUO
Hi @tron00100
It is possible that the chassis cannot power the 4TB drives all at once since it's not supported.
There is a list available here.
Hope this helps!
