Admin page RN102

Hi,

I have an issue with my RN102.

I installed it a few weeks ago, I followed the quick instal guide and everything went fine.

Currently, I can't access the Admin page, nore browse the files.

From raidar I click on Admin Page, the page loads but after a while says "Ready NAS admin page is offline".

If I click on "Browse", my explorer doesn't connect to the NAS.

But the NAS is still accessible on my television.

I tried to make a reset but didn't succeed.

I hold the reset button and turn the NAS on.
All the leds are on.

I press the back up button, the Disk 1 and disk 2 leds turn off but I'm supposed to be able to "scroll" in the boot menu until I get Disk 1 LED on.

This doesn't happen.

So I'm totally blocked...
Could you please tell me what I have to do?

thanks.

If this is recently purchased, you can use Netgear phone support (available for 90 days).

Re: Admin page RN102

Is RAIDar giving you any status?

Re: Admin page RN102

Yes the NAS in online and healthy, but that's it...

No way to go to the admin page, browse the folders, download the logs, ...

I can access the NAS on my television (DLNA) but not from a computer or a smartphone.

Re: Admin page RN102

Maybe I messed the configuration because I tried to add another account with restricted access.

This is the reason why I even tried the full reset (hold reset button, start the NAS, click on "backup" to get the Disk 1 led only,...)

but it didn't work.

Re: Admin page RN102

I hate the paperclip + led status boots.

A "full reset" usually means a factory install - which would destory all your data.  Is that what you were intending?  If so, you can alternatively zero the disks by connecting them to a windows PC (perhaps with a USB->SATA adapter) using vendor diags (either seagate's seatools or WDC's lifeguard).

Or if you have a spare disk that is the same size (or smaller) than the drives in the NAS, you could do a fresh install on that disk, and then hot-insert the existing disks. You should see a "format" option when you add the first disk - and you will need to reformat it before it can be added to the array.  You'd wait for the resync, and then replace the spare disk (formating again, waiting for resync).

Were you able to get the logs from RAIDar?

Re: Admin page RN102

deleting the data on my disks is not really an issue.
I made the install a few weeks ago and still have a backup on an external USB drive.

I wanted to try the full reset and factory settings because I thought it would maybe solve my "login" issue.
but I can't do it...

so I'm totally blocked.

I gave you two ways to do it w/o paperclips.  Are either possible for you?

Re: Admin page RN102

Hi,
i didn't tried yet because :

solution 1 : issues with my computer, so no way to connect the drives...

solution 2 : no spare HDD  😞
