Any advantage of recovering with 6 drives vs 5 drives?
Hello.
I believe my readynas device has issues but the actual hard drives are good.
I have like an RAID5 type array.
If I am using a raid recovery software, is there any advantage to recovering with 6 drives vs 5 drives?
Thanks.

If the drives are all solid, then it would be faster to recover with all drives. The recovery software wouldn't need to reconstruct any data blocks from the parity blocks.
