Hand me down equipment
Howdy! So a neighbor jest gave me aiinfrant technology ReadyNAS NV+ with a model number of RNV2-S4-0000 and a part number of RNV2-S4-0000-0A and a serial number of 000DA2013376 I know it is old but I still drive a 1939 Imperial Limo I inherited from my father and it gets me to the grocery store just fine.My problem is when I enter the number on the netgear site to get manuals, downloads or whatever it doesn't seemto wnt to deal with me in any way. Is there a link to forum or support site for those of us using WAY old gear? thanx for your time

You have the ReadyNAS NV+ (v1). Manuals are here: http://www.readynas.com/docs
Some downloads are here: http://www.readynas.com/downloads
The latest firmware is 4.1.10.

I'd also ask your neighbor if they ever did this RMA for possible PSU failure: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=10259

Re: Hand me down equipment
Hey Guys,Thanx for the rapid response!I spent 20 years in Silicon Valley as a machinist but, this stuff confuses the heck out of me,there's no handles to turn, and the wonderful smell of way-lube and coolant is oddly missing!Eventually I hope to be able to read a Fry's electronic store ad and know what it means.Thanx again regards,Timo
